Committed to quality teaching and the social aspect of dancing, we provide a no-ego, student centred approach to teaching in an inclusive, friendly social atmosphere.

Cuban and La Rueda

Specialising in Cuban style salsa and la Rueda, our classes are mainly Cuban casino salsa/circular style dance patterns for partner work and group work.

Shine with confidence

We also teach footwork patterns, ‘shine’ work, styling, spin technique and dance choreography.

Social Dancing

We are committed to providing quality social dance events and aim to facilitate these for as many people as possible to learn/enjoy the many benefits that social dancing brings, including physical, mental, social and general wellbeing.

Wedding First Dance Lessons

Wedding First Dance - Private Tuition

Designed for beginners - No dance experience required - Build your wedding day first dance confidence!


Book a series of lessons, or your first dance choreography can be taught in one single intensive session (approx 3 hours).


No two couples will have the same choreography and you will have fun learning.


Your dance teacher will make sure that you have the perfect dance routine for your special day and that you feel confident stepping on the dance floor together. 


PGCE Qualified trained teacher - Fully insured - Student-centered teaching approach aimed at getting the very best from your natural ability and progressing your dancing.

Salsa Liverpool specializes in teaching Rueda, also known as 'Rueda de Casino'.

Rueda is an energetic, multiple partner dance which is a fabulous way to learn set choreographed Cuban Salsa choreography and to test your leading and following skills with several partners. It's also enormous fun!

Private Lessons


Private lessons are a hugely beneficial way to improve all aspects of your dancing. Qualified (PGCE) teachers, fully insured and lessons are tailored specifically to your needs.
Private lessons are available to individuals, couples and small groups.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join even if I have never danced before?

Yes - Absolute beginners are welcome to most of our classes - please see the class descriptions for details of our beginner friendly classes.
We also have classes specifically for improver and intermediate dancers.

Do you need a partner?

No - No partner is necessary. You are free to attend as couples or a group, however, we switch partners during the class, so everyone has a chance to dance.

*Please be aware that Rueda classes specifically involve swapping partners frequently*

If you prefer not to swap partners, this is not a problem, but please attend one of our couples-based salsa classes and let the teacher know prior to the class beginning.

Do you need to book in advance?

No - Advance booking is usually not necessary as most classes are provided as drop-in lessons - However, please check our class descriptions for more details.

What to wear?

Clothing - Wear clothes that you feel comfortable moving around in - jeans, leggings, jogs, etc.

Footwear - Wear shoes that enclose the foot and that you feel comfortable to dance in. Choose a pair with less grip to help with turning - dance shoes, trainers, etc.

Be Health Aware

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions which may affect your ability to attend classes, please contact your GP prior to attending.

Covid-19 - Government restrictions have long been removed but we do ask that you remain health aware during lessons and events please. If you have any covid or flu like symptoms, or have tested positive for covid-19, please do not attend. Thank you.


Hand Sanitiser - Hand sanitiser must be used upon entrance, and we encourage regular use throughout the classes please.
